Nursery Schools

Shomoukh Early Childhood Education is an International Early Years Nursery School, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, originated in Italy. In our school, children are viewed as unique, capable, resilient, creative, curious, and intelligent. We embrace everyone’s culture while offering children a wide range of opportunities to become confident and prepare them to meet future challenges. Our students are active citizens who reach their full potential within a safe, healthy, nurturing, and aesthetic environment that respects their rights and opinions. Teaching methods are based on children’s needs and interests, ensuring that every child is actively involved in the learning process and receives personal attention and guidance.

Our school’s ethos and culture promote positive relations among its members and provides opportunities so that each child feels fulfilled. We strive to create a happy environment that emphasis the social, emotional, physical, and mental development of each child and thereby play a role in raising well balanced children who will grow into lifelong learners and active citizens.

We believe that parent-ships between the school, parents and the community play an important role in the child’s educational journey. Hence, our families are invited to participate in school related activities, initiate projects and lend their support in events. We strongly feel that community involvement helps children develop a strong sense of identity and fosters respect and meaningful relationships with others.

Shomoukh believes in two-way communication. thus, parents receive daily information about their kid’s routine and activities through the platform. Every term, progress reports are sent to parents, and parent-teacher meetings are scheduled.

Every Reggio-inspired community is different since the needs and interests of the children, within each community, are different. Our school’s standards are based on Oman Vision 2040, UNICEF Education Strategy, and the Reggio Emilia Principles.

“our task is to help children communicate with the world using all their potential, strengths and languages, and to overcome any obstacle presented by our culture”

Loris Malaguzzi (founder of the Reggio Emilia approach)

Giving Back

Our school has close ties with the local community and organizes various events during the academic year to support those in need. We believe it is our responsibility to give back to our community while teaching our students about social responsibility.
